Spectacular Events

I have worked with an outside Entertainment co-ordinator for the Canadian National Exhibition for several years, and this season had the pleasure of “booking” the group “NEW HOLLYWOOD” for a 13 day stand, plus the Feature Act in the Miss CNE Show. Their performance was outstanding, and without hesitation, we would use them again.

It was truly amazing to see a group of 270 employees dancing where there was very little room to dance and enjoying a show band in the middle of the afternoon. Your high energy level and excellent sense of humor had our employees up and moving within a short period of time. The only complaint we received was the time flew by too quickly and they would have liked to have danced all afternoon. You and your group are well attuned to the needs of a corporate function and the sensitivity that is needed to entertain a large group and yet remain within the confines of the business environment. Several of our employees have asked me if you perform at any specfic clubs. If this is the case, let me know and I will communicate that information to our staff. Thanks in large part to the outstanding performance of New Hollywood, the cruise aboard the Northern Spirit was voted “best event” at ITP Nelson’s Summer Sales Meeting. To a person, everyone that I’ve talked to said the music was “great” and many others have asked “can New Hollywood play at our next company function?” I must confess that with the diversity of our staff (represented by sales, finance, inventory services, accounting, the distribution center and other areas) I wasn’t expecting such universal acclaim for your music. You don’t know how pleased I was to be wrong. New Hollywood offered something for everyone and kept the energy level high all night. The only regret that I heard was that the cruise ended too soon. Once we get the date finalized for our Christmas Party, you’ll be getting a call from me to book you again. It makes these functions much easier and organize when you have confidence in the people you have hired. Believe me, booking New Hollywood was the smartest move I’ve made in a long time.
